Artist's Statement
DAY BY DAY in the DREAM; This is the title of my artwork exhibition this time .I published a children's picture book which is called KID IN N.Y. from Kaiseisha publishing in Tokyo, Japan, and will be also published in US soon. These oil paintings are the images behind my deep memory; when I was a boy which are reflected in the book eventually. DAY BY DAY; is a portrait of a woman who is standing in the pastoral scene. From her face, you could find some sadness or affectionate mind, in the stillness. GOING BACK HOME; is a scene of a small Japanese springs spa town which is called ONSEN in Japanese. Not only the stars but also the reflection of the town light into the lake was unforgettable. SUMMER WINDS; is an unrealistic Japanese house at the oceanfront. I could enjoy the refreshing breeze. Clearwater Beach, FL; A Young man in the picture reminds me of the heat and sunshine of the Gulf of Mexico
