A gifted sculptor of growing renown began studying art at an early age under the private tutelage of a European fresco master Franco Bortelli.  This experience provided fine art skills and an introduction to the rigors and concentration required to create great art. Self proclaimed and much self taught, travelled extensively since then, studying independently in Europe and South America, the artist has fed a fascination with world mythology and spirituality.  All of Rio's intensely erotic figures are imbued with transhistorical references.  While drawing inspiration from such masters as Cellini, Michelangelo, Titian, Sargent, Renior, and Monet.  She greatly admired Erte' for his outrageous costume design, while being attracted to Rodin's boldness in his sculpture works.  She was influenced by contemporary masters such as Georgia O'Keeffe, and Jackson Polluck. 

Rio's talents are prodigious, not only as a superb painter of classic Frescoes,  but mastering the symphony  of color through her rich artistic imagination to create vivacious , vibrant, explosive abstract form which is the essence  that breathes life to any room or salon.  "The Symphony series", moves with the rhythm of music, to a rich color of a textured pallet.

Having the gift of precise aesthetic harmony and anatomical accuracy, Rio's ability for excellence goes beyond measure.  Never sketching her sculpture work before starting the execution of a project, she simply executes and follows her divine gift of explanation, hinting at ambiguous narratives that feel ones imagination.

Irrepressibly creative, Rio is a professional music composer as well as a painter and sculptor.  The Artist's passionate love of music enhances every form with a fluid lyrical quality.

Music has played a big influence in her life; she is an accomplished composer, and song writer.  She has recorded on Atlantic records, Capital, 20th Century and others.  Here stage name is Dawn Gable; she has entertained all over South America, Central America, Asia and Europe.  She was trained originally to be an Opera singer by her voice coach Emma Otero.

 She has acted in film, television and theater, as a writer, she is a poet and novelist.  On the technical side, she is a draftsman and architect as well as a designer having her homes featured in the News Media of Television as well as News papers and journals. 

The Sculptor's earlier career as a California fashion designer, while manufacturing her clothing lines out of China and Paris. She was very successful in the garment industry, as it offered a way for her to express her creative passion.  It was a natural segue way into doing three-dimensional figurative work.   The designer's experience with the human form of draping, compliments the serious study of anatomy that is evident in each bronze figure, offered in acrylic as well as crystal.

This is Rio's signature:  the awestricking delicacy of extensive detail, orchestrated with such obsessive passion.  Outstanding among the work of bronze artists.  Rio's is never general or gestural.  The artist achieves far greater surface character than is usually associated with the medium.
